Northglenn Colorado is located in Adams County, Colorado. In the spring of 1959, local builder Perl-Mack Co finalized plans for a large subdivision north of Denver. On June 30th, more than 15,000 people came to view the five show homes that were on the corner of what is now I-25 and 104th Ave. The original prices for these homes was between $13,500 and $20,350 depending on options. A regional shopping center opened in 1968 called North Glenn Mall, named after the area subdivision, North Glenn which boasted about 10,000 residents. Northglenn officially became a city on April 18th, 1969 after refusing to be annexed into the established city of Thornton.

Today, Northglenn Colorado boast over 33,000 residents and encompasses 7.5 sq miles of land. The old North Glenn mall has been redeveloped into a town center with numerous shops including a Lowe's Hardware, Office Depot, Border's Bookstore and more. Northglenn has easy access to major highways, including I-25 and Hwy 76. New light rail plans are being put into place to have stops in Northglenn.

The Northglenn Colorado community has 550 acres of parks and open space. The recreation facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, a community center/recreation center, EB Rains Memorial Park, ball fields and Webster Lake.

Within a short drive of Northglenn Colorado is Denver, Brighton, Thornton, Federal Heights, Westminster and Broomfield. All boasting numerous facilities, restaurants, entertainment and more regularly enjoyed by Northglenn residents.Northglenn students are primarily served by Adams County School District.

Northglenn CO real estate consist of primarily older single family residential homes and growth is somewhat limited as Northglenn is surrounded by other incorporated areas of Adams county. There is some new construction and the older homes are regularly being given facelifts. Northglenn real estate saw rapid price appreciation in the late 90's and early 2000's.
